There's a map. But we're still not sure what's out there.
Somewhere between latitude and longing, grapes ripen into something old-world wines took centuries to find by accident. We’re getting there faster — with a sense of adventure, following soil and story instead of spreadsheets.
Science tells us the grapes are perfect. Nature already knew. We just had to stand still long enough to notice.
Wines with character and charm, open with air, and supple, grippy tannin. Aromas of shiitake and fern and forest floor, a high note of blossom drifting through like perfume that arrived before we did.
No tricks. No grand plan. Just a small crew who've done this before, chasing viticultural utopias across longitude and time, rolling barrels, done with a smile and a taste for fun.
We are lovers, tasters, seekers. Unfettered dancers with dirty boots.
First stop: a 2025 Tasmania Pinot Noir, poured from a place that isn't quite on the map yet.
We're bringing the rest of the party with us.
Utopies (f. pl.) The name UTOPIES comes from this 19th century French postcard .
We love that “Utopies” plays with the idea of both “perfect place” and “no place”, and we love that nearly everyone is flying.
A perfect name for wines from special, secret places.
