Two of Australia’s most respected wine critics, Campbell Mattinson and Dave Brookes, have tasted our first release, the UTOPIES Tasmanian Pinot noir. Both landed on 93 points.

“There’s a pleasing purity to the cherry fruits on the palate, perhaps a touch of plum sliding in there, too, with fine, silty tannins and a saline acid driveline that provides plenty of energy.” (Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion 2026)

“It’s an exceptionally pretty wine that is exceptionally easy and enjoyable to drink.” (Campbell Mattinson, www.winefront.com)

Let’s be honest: the idea of scoring wine doesn’t survive much existential scrutiny. The wine was very nice before anyone put a number on it. But an independent opinion never hurts, and we’re not too proud to spruik it.

93 points. Twice. We’ll take it.
